About Mrs. Legg
This is my 16th year teaching for Round Rock I.S.D and my 14th year at Live Oak! I have taught 3rd grade for 13 years and this will be my 2nd year teaching 4th grade. I absolutely love teaching and try to make learning fun, meaningful, and relevant. I enjoy building positive relationships with my students and try to create an environment in which all students are respected and feel a sense of belonging. I am truly lucky to be able to do a job that I love and I can't imagine doing anything else.
Here's a little about my background: I grew up in San Antonio and then moved to Austin to go to The University of Texas. I earned my degree in Elementary Education along with a specialization in reading! I also have my masters degree in Educational Administration. I am a lifelong learner so I am constantly striving to become the best teacher I can be.
My husband, Casey, and I have been married for 12 years. We have two children. My daughter, Katelyn, is 7 and my son, Bryson, is 4. We also have a dog who we spoil rotten..a maltipoo named Chloe. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being active, swimming, traveling, reading, watching movies, eating at new restaurants, crafting, and of course learning. I'm a huge Longhorns fan, especially during football season. I also love my hometown basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs!
I'm looking forward to working with my students and parents to make this a successful, positive year! If you ever have any questions, concerns, or just need some advice on how to help your child, please let me know.
